Welcome to Nepal. We are very much curious and dedicated to assist your trip to the land of Mt. Everest, birthplace of apostle of Peace-Lord Buddha and land of mysterious animal Yeti. Serenely nestled against the backdrops of magnificent mass of the Himalayan ranges, Nepal is a sovereign State sandwiched between two large republics, south of Chinese held –Tibet and on three sides surrounded by India. It has got 147,181 sq. km of territory with a population of 23.5 million. Nepal is the only Hindu country in the world, and also known as a birth place of Lord Buddha “The Prince of Peace and The Light of Asia”. The images of Hindu and Buddhist Gods are worshiped everyday specially in the morning as a way of daily life in Nepal. All religion is free to worship without any dispute or quarrel. Such-and- such kind of religious tolerance, peace and harmony is not found anywhere in the world.
Kathmandu is the capital city of Nepal, and most of the cultural and religious centers are concentrated around Kathmandu valley. Nepal enjoys 8 World Heritage Sites (cultural) rewarded by UNESCO namely Soyambhunath, Baudhanath, Kathmandu Darbar Squire Bhaktapur Durbar Squire, Patan Darbar Squire Changunarayan, Pashupathinath, and Lumbini, the other 2 (natural) World Heritage Sites are Everest (1148 sq. km) and Royal Chitwan National Parks (932 sq. km), which are the most enjoyable place for the visitors.

Foreigners were not allowed to enter its territory until five decades before and virtually nothing was known about the people and civilization. Nepal is bestowed since ancient time by numerous Gods and Goddesses.

Sir Edmund Hillary, a tall looking gentleman from New Zealand prepared himself to pack cargos of several mountaineering equipments, food, medicine and necessary outfits and came to Kathmandu. Next morning, he seemed to look a bit serious and started to check his goods thoroughly in the hotel ground one by one comparing his list not to miss anything for the expedition. He thought a moment and whispered “Everything is right” and well packed the goods again to reopen those things at the base camp of the highest mountain for final climbing. One fine morning after completing all the government facilities, he said good bye to Kathmandu and began his long hard journey on foot via Jiri accompanied by his courageous team to fulfill his burning desire in order to climb Mt. Everest (8848m), the roof of the world. He stepped his human foot on the top of the world together with his friend Tenzing Sherpa of Nepal on 29th May 1953. The conquest of Everest for the first time in the history heralded the sensational news worldwide through different media, opening the new era of tourism in Nepal. A crowning glory for the country was accomplished which highlighted the existence of Nepal as well as its art and architecture, culture and nature, religion and festival, temple and monastery with other major tourist attractions. The victory of man over Everest was the golden message to the world, which was a good opportunity and the beginning of worldwide tourism market to promote Nepal.

Likewise Junko Tabei of Japan also created the name and fame of womanhood stepping her first foot climbing on the roof of the world in the year 1975.

As time rolled on and among others, the past state visits of world personalities like Queen Elizabeth II and President Heinrich Luebke to Nepal added the friendly and cultural relations between the nations. The holiday vacation of the first lady Hillary Clinton made another charming media coverage around the world on the threshold of brand- new- millennium.
